In partnership with the City of Raleigh and the East Coast Greenway Alliance, Oaks and Spokes invites you to join us to celebrate the completion of the Gorman Street Connector. Oaks and Spokes will host a celebratory ride of the corridor at this event. Guests are encouraged to join up at Raleigh Brewing after to “raise a glass” to more biking infrastructure coming online in our community!
The Gorman Street Connector provides a critical link for riders along the East Coast Greenway and provides an all ages and abilities piece of biking infrastructure adjacent to North Carolina State University and Meredith College. This section connects directly into the Reedy Creek Trail and provides a contiguous riding experience South to Sullivan Street. This adds a segment on to the most complete section of the East Coast Greenway, and allows riders to safely travel on bike between Raleigh and Durham – all along a greenway corridor!
Oaks and Spokes invites our community to join us to celebrate this milestone project. Due to significant community spread with Omicron, we ask all attendees to consider wearing a mask, even though this event will be in an outdoor setting. Additional event details can be referenced below.
