Bikeshare
Cardinal Bikeshare is a Raleigh’s public, self-serve bicycle rental system for short trips. They operate 340 bikes across 32 stations. Almost 70% of the bikes have electric-assist motors that give an extra boost when pedaling. All the bike stations can be viewed on this map.
SeeClickFix
SeeClickFix is the City of Raleigh’s free online tool. Report a pothole, a tree blocking a greenway or any other issues the City of Raleigh should be aware of. You can include photos and comments, and track the City’s response to make sure the issue is addressed.
Wake County Safe Routes to School
Safe Routes to School Wake County is a program funded by a grant from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and seeks to make it safer and easier for students in Wake County to be able to walk, bike, and roll to and from school.
They work with schools and community partners to support Walk and Bike to School Day events, traffic gardens, and other safety and education related events and programs.

Bike Law NC
Know your rights on a bike. Bike Law NC is a great resource with tips on what do after a bike crash, when you can take the full lane and much more.
Some helpful information about local laws include:
- At night, bikes are required to have a front white headlight visible from 300 feet away as well as a red rear reflector and either a light or reflective clothing.
- Bicyclists under the age of 16 years old must have a properly fastened helmet.
Triangle Bike Map
Oaks and Spokes developed and maintains a bike map that provides information about greenways, bike lanes, Cardinal Bike Share Cycles, and recommended routes. It also provides route recommendations.
This map is designed with the Triangle in mind, and provides recommended routes.

Bike Lane Uprising is a free mobile app designed to make bike lanes safer. You can report bike lane obstructions on your smart phone. Bike lane uprising visualizes problems with bike lanes through mapping and data analysis.
Bike Raleigh App
The Bike Raleigh app shows Raleigh’s bike lanes, greenways, GoRaleigh bus routes and crowd sourced bike routes. It is available for Android and Apple smart phones.
